Are you ready for the sexiest Studio Bash announcement yet? I am BEYOND ECSTATIC to publicly announce the beginning of my new venture – Studio Bash Boudoir and Retro Pin-Up Photography!

Boudoir, derived from the French term “Bouder”, is defined as a lady’s dressing room, bedroom, or private sitting room. At our South Side studio, otherwise known as your lavish “Boudoir” for the day, I will be working with women from around the Pittsburgh area and beyond to capture their radiant beauty as art that is sexy, breathtaking, and timeless.

So, why am I offering both Boudoir and Retro Pin-Up styles? Simple! As you know, life’s not just about fabulous looks – I want to capture your attitude, energy, and the originality that makes you the woman you are. Whether you’re looking to seize your modern, sexy style or to become a pin-up vintage vixen, I’ve got you covered!

And Studio Bash is all about being pampered. Outside hair and makeup artists frequent our studio. You can bring in your own beauty team or use ours – I’ve got connections to some of the best in the industry if you’re looking for the ultimate luxury experience.

Oh, and yes! Group shoots are available. So why not make it a party? I’ll bring the mimosas!

After months of remodeling, planning and preparation, Studio Bash opened its new studio doors with a grand opening celebration. Many of our closest friends, family and industry colleagues joined us in our new South Side location for a night of food, drinks, great music and fun.

Many wonderful and talented vendors participated in our event. Our awesome flower arrangements were designed and created by Mocha Rose Floral and Event Design.

We loved this floral rendition of our logo:

Our event was catered by The Fabled Table. Not only were their culinary creations out-of-this-world delicious, but they were also an invaluable source of expertise when it came to helping us plan and organize our event. Many many thanks to Lisa, Naja and Mike!

Our guests had an amazing time with the photo booth by Shutterbooth Pittsburgh. The booth operator, Amanda, showed off her new Studio Bash T. Many thanks to owners Brandi and Tom of Shutterbooth!

We were lucky enough to have DJ Bill Bara and his lovely assistant, Denise, provide the music for the evening. They really kept the party rockin’ with the perfect “Studio Bash” soundtrack.

We served wine from La Casa Narcisi Winery. Tony Narcisi and his family own the beautiful winery in Gibsonia, PA. We’ve been fortunate to become friends with Tony and his wife, Megan, while photographing their 2009 wedding.

Aly’s makeup for the evening was styled by Tammy of Simply Beautiful. Tammy and her husband, Gino, had a great time showing off their GET BASHED stickers.

Last month we introduced the first GET BASHED sticker contest. We asked new and current Studio Bash couples to take a picture of themselves with our GET BASHED sticker somewhere in the frame to win great prizes from Studio Bash. We had tons of amazing entries, but these three were our favorites! Thanks to all who chose to GET BASHED!

Attention brides and grooms past, present and future! Fire up your iphones, crackberrys, and digital cameras for the first (but not necessarily annual) GET BASHED sticker contest.

The rules are simple:

FIRST: Pick up one of our GET BASHED stickers at the Studio Bash booth at the Pittsburgh Bridal Showcase bridal show at the Convention Center this Sunday, March 21st. If you’re not attending the show, email us at alybash@gmail.com with “Sticker Contest” in the subject line and include your address in the body of the email. We’ll mail you a sticker or two.

SECOND: Take a photo of you and your soon-to-be life partner with the GET BASHED sticker anywhere in the shot. Send your entry to us at alybash@gmail.com by April 30th, 2010.

THE REST: BLOW OUR MINDS!! The most creative, hilarious, off-the-wall photo wins! The sky’s the limit (just don’t break the law – none of our wedding packages include legal fees).

STUFF YOU CAN WIN: We’re going to divide this into two categories:

Engaged Couples (not currently Studio Bash clients) will be competing for a 2-hour engagement shoot with the Studio Bash team anywhere in the Pittsburgh area (a $250 value).

Married or About to be Married Couples (former or current Studio Bash clients) will win $200 worth of free prints from their wedding day online gallery.

All entries must be received by April 30th, 2010.

Winners will be announced the following week.

There wasn’t much Fear and Loathing, but the Studio Bash team honed their craft and had a blast at the 30th annual WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) convention and trade show in Las Vegas last week.

We can’t wait for wedding season to be in full swing and brought back plenty of new knowledge (and photo toys) to make this season our best yet.

Do you remember when your uncle forced you to watch an hour-long slideshow of his trip to the Grand Canyon? So do we…so we’ll make this quick. Here are a few photos of Studio Bash rockin’ Sin City (luckily we didn’t wake up to a tiger locked in our bathroom).
